What type is the author?

We look before and after, And pine for what is not; Our sincerest laughter With some pain is fraught; Our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thought.

— Percy Shelley

Dave's Enneagram Guides

Dave's Enneagram Guides are my attempt at a brief and objective overview of the Enneagram symbol and personality types.

  • Brief in the sense of getting to the point quickly without overcomplicating the topics
  • Objective in the sense of not presenting any bias toward a particular author's interpretation

In addition to the brief and objective overview, I'll also try to:

  • include links for more information
  • offer some thoughts and concepts beyond the usual Enneagram material

Guides Available

  • The Enneagram Personality Type System - provides an overview of the different features of the system.
  • The Enneagram Personality Types - provides a summary of each of the nine types.
  • The Enneagram Symbol - explores how the symbol is used in the Gurdjieff tradition and the personality types.
