Centers of Intelligence
The centers of intelligence, sometimes simply called the triads, are common to most if not all teaching on the Enneagram personality types. However, the labels of these three centers vary somewhat among authors. Two common sets of labels for describing these centers are:
- Doing, Feeling and Thinking
- Body-Based, Heart-Based and Head-Based
Each type is said to be in one of these centers.
- Types 8, 9 and 1 are body-based types in the doing center
- Types 2, 3 and 4 are heart-based types in the feeling center
- Types 5, 6 and 7 are head-based types in the thinking center
