Law of Octaves

An octave consists of the seven notes in a musical scale:
Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-La-Si-Do
When the 1st note, Do, is repeated at the end of the scale, it's to mark the beginning of the scale at the next higher octave.
As used by Gurdjieff, the octave comes to represent a process when placed on the Enneagram.
- the Do marks both the beginning and end (or continuation) at point 9
- the remaining notes are placed on the hexad indicated by the law of seven
- the intervals at points 3 and 6 are revealed as shock points
- the shock points at 3 and 6 may also become the Do of additional octaves or processes
