Seekers After Truth (SAT) - Claudio Naranjo

In 1970, Claudio Naranjo was among a group on a months-long pilgrimage to Arica, Chile under the guidance of a spiritual teacher named Oscar Ichazo. Part of what Ichazo taught was his enneagram material. Shortly thereafter, Ichazo began using his material as part of the trainings offered through the Arica Institute. Around the same time Naranjo incorporated Ichazo's enneagram material into SAT groups (Seekers After Truth) that Naranjo was working with. Today's Enneagram personality types evolved from these SAT groups and Naranjo's other teachings during the 1970s. Naranjo called the personality types that he evolved from Ichazo's enneagram material enneatypes.
